Recipe Notes

Pu erh is a perfect winter tea because it has a dark rich brown earthy flavor that feels heavier than tea usually feels. It has many health benefits too, including the ability to help the body conserve energy. It also eliminates dampness, especially from the blood vessels.

Research has shown that Pu erh has the potential to lower LDL cholesterol by actually inhibiting the synthesis of it in the body. It also contains antimutagenic properties, so is believed to prevent the both the formation and growth of cancerous cells. This earthy tea can invigorate the spleen, remove toxins in the body, and assist in digestion.
